Remembering a Great Friend of Ballard Water Meadow

The family and friends of Sandy Fagan gathered in the meadow on 30 July 2016 to remember Sandy and dedicate a seat in her honour. The money for the seat was raised mainly by the residents of Fernhill Road where Sandy lived for many years and was a very friendly and helpful neighbour.

Town Councillor Steve Clarke talked about Sandy and her work in the town and for the meadow although he thought she would have something pithy to say about the seat. Sandy worked hard to get the meadow as it is today and has handed on the baton to the Friends to keep up the work in her memory and those other founder members of the Friends who are no longer with us.

A minute's silence was held.

Residents of New Milton and the surrounding area are welcome to follow in the footsteps of Sandy Fagan and enjoy Ballard Water Meadow.
